Reserves continue promotion-winning form
Alderholt Reserves 2 Sway Reserves 5
Bournemouth Hayward Division 1
Saturday 18th February 2017
The Reserves travelled to Alderholt looking to carry on their winning streak.
Sway started well and pressure on the Alderholt goal led to an early lead through Joel Fields. Soon enough we doubled our lead when Dan Marks pounced in the box to score his first of the season!
We could have gone further ahead through a penalty but the Alderholt keeper made a fine save to deny Bill Stride. This spurred on the home side and they pulled one back just before the break.
The second half saw Sway coming quickly out of the blocks with Paul Jordan, Harry Boyt and Marks controlling the centre of the park. The Fields brothers Joel and Jake linked up on the left wing with Joel's fine cross finding Lee Baxter who headed home.
Stride then made up for his earlier miss to add a fourth before Alderholt clawed one back with a 25 yard screamer. Marksie then capped off a fine midfield display to complete another convincing win and cement our place in fourth spot.
Sway: Old, Borely (Jake Fields), Williams, Gilbert (c) (Sheppard), Miller, Joel Fields, Jordan, Marks, Baxter (Linbourn), Boyt, Stride.
