Sway ease past Petersfield
Sway 8 AFC Petersfield 2
Hampshire Premier League Division 1
Saturday 4th February
Ryan Brading put Sway ahead on two minutes, volleying in from five yards out. Darren Ritchie added two more, one from a penalty after Jake Bockhart was brought down. The visitors then got one back after a misjudged defensive header let the striker in who ran in to slot the ball past Matt Langdown.
Soon afterwards, wing-back David Steadman charged in to the box to score, leaving the keeper stranded as it went in off the far post. He grabbed his brace soon afterwards when he put away Bockhart's cross at the near post.
Bockhart added Sway’s sixth in the second-half with a trade-mark long-range free-kick into the top-right corner. Mark Brading added to the goal-fest when he was put through by a long ball from Steadman and skilfully beat the keeper. Ritchie claimed his hat-trick with a header before Petersfield grabbed a consolation goal.
The result leaves Sway top of the league before next week's clash with Four Marks who are three points behind with three games in hand.
Sway: Matt Langdown, Ash Booker, Ryan Brading, Dan Brennan, Will Lambert, Ben McQuoid, Darren Ritchie, Jordan Scares, Jake Bockhart, Spencer Churchill, David Steadman. Subs: Mark Brading, John Huggins, Chris Bond.
